THE HAUTES VOSGES GREENWAY AT CORNIMONT

Surrounded by mountains and fresh air, the Voie Verte des Hautes Vosges is a multi-activity trail laid out along 53 km of former railway lines in the Moselle and Moselotte valleys. There are two routes through the Vosges valleys, winding at the foot of the mountains and forests. All along the way, with family or friends, the variety of landscapes and the quality of the sites encourage you to come and enjoy the pleasure of the Voie Verte! The Voie Verte is open to all, with free access, so that walking, cycle touring, rollerblading and ski touring can all be enjoyed in complete safety and in excellent conditions! There are two possible directions: you can start from the Plan d'Eau in Remiremont and head towards Cornimont, or you can start from the Quai de la Gare in Cornimont and head towards Remiremont. From Remiremont to Cornimont - Moselotte Valley (23 km): The first part of this route is open and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and meadows. From Vagney (12 km), the Voie Verte offers a very picturesque route through the forest, across large granite walls and the Moselotte gorges, before heading up the valley along a shady path to the old railway station at Cornimont. A shared-use road then takes the more courageous to La Bresse (7 km - 125 m ascent), with its shops, services and activities.
