SOURCE OF THE RIVER "LA MOSELOTTE"

Source of the Moselotte near the Thatch of Breitzhousen. Christina of Denmark, widow of the Duke of Lorraine Francis II and regent of Lorraine, drank it in July 1560. The stele visible at that location also marks the starting point of the water cycle circuit and hydropower. Document on this circuit available on request to the Bresse Tourist Office.

At the edge of the route des crêtes, which can be closed for several days in winter depending on climatic conditions.
