Col de la Schlucht

Col des Bagenelles

The route of the 77 km Route des Crêtes was decided during the 1914-18 war for strategic reasons. It passes through the Grand Ballon, the highest point of the Vosges massif, the Hohneck and the Col de la Schlucht. Today, it offers magnificent panoramas: lakes, valleys, peaks... It's not unusual to be able to see the Black Forest and the Alps chain from various points along this route.
