LA CHAPELLE DU BRABANT
Brabant Chapel . The Chapel located at the top of Col du Brabant . Two legends exist around a cross, embedded in one of its walls. The first concerns a young shepherd who had noticed the presence of a deer from his herd of goats. This young man considered that this doe was the same one who had nursed the son of the Countess Genevieve de Brabant and has made a habit of coming to pray at the site had chosen to feed the animal. It is also here that was erected the famous cross. The second legend refers to a young woman and her baby in distress seeking refuge on a winter evening in the Col du Brabant area. That night, all the houses remained closed. The next day, the people of Brabant discovered the lifeless body of the mother and her son and decided to erect a cross in their memory.
