Welcome to Viaux Fontaine holiday cottage, a charming old family farmhouse converted into a peaceful and welcoming holiday retreat, located in the hills above Saulxures sur Moselotte in a secluded and picturesque setting. This unique gîte offers two adjoining apartments, comfortably accommodating up to 14 people in a generous 230m² of space.
The first apartment, named ‘Louis’, has a bedroom with a double bed on the ground floor, a spacious fully equipped kitchen with a large fridge-freezer, a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet. The living room has two tables that can seat 14 people, a wood-burning stove, a sitting area with a sofa bed and a television. Upstairs, two additional bedrooms offer flexible accommodation with one double bedroom and one bedroom with two single beds.
The second flat, called ‘Célina’, offers an equally welcoming atmosphere. On the ground floor, a well-equipped kitchen invites you to prepare delicious meals, while a large living room with a wood-burning stove and a television provides a cosy space to relax. Two comfortable bedrooms on the ground floor are furnished with a double bed and a single bed in one, and three single beds in the other. A full bathroom with hairdryer and separate toilet ensure optimal comfort. Upstairs, a master suite with double bed and private bathroom with walk-in shower offers a peaceful retreat.
The two apartments are connected by an interior door, allowing guests to get together easily while maintaining their privacy. Both apartments are equipped with board games for you to enjoy evenings by the fire with your family. Two terraces invite you to enjoy the outdoors and offer breathtaking views of the valley. Everything is also provided for your family's relaxation: pétanque court, molki game, table tennis, badminton, children's racket game.
In addition to its comfort and charm, the Viaux Fontaine gîte offers an authentic experience thanks to its passionate owner. He invites you to take a step back in time by exploring the Munster cheese cellar, the traditional bread oven and even the old stable, which has been preserved in its original state.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the possibilities are endless: set off on a hike directly from the house or ask the owner to guide you through the magnificent surrounding landscapes. Whatever your preference, the Viaux Fontaine gîte promises an unforgettable stay, combining modern comfort and authentic charm in an enchanting setting.
A complete change of scenery in winter: when it snows here, it feels like you're in Quebec: you leave your car 600 metres from the house and the owner will come and collect you and your luggage by snowmobile. Snowshoes are then available free of charge for your winter excursions.
