Path dedicated to the 6th Moroccan Rifle Regiment for the heavy toll it paid in defending the village of Cornimont, at Haut-du-Faing, from 16 to 28 October 1944. Soldiers from the 6th RTM, followed by the muleteers, took this path to the Haut-du-Faing, where decisive battles were fought against the German army. This commemorative route, illustrated by 14 information panels, is marked by the regimental crest. The route is not cleared of snow in winter. The route in detail: The walk starts from the Parvis de l'Église in Cornimont. You can park nearby in the Place Pranzière car park. The route is of medium difficulty, so it's suitable for all the family, but beware: it's a bit uphill! The route covers a distance of 4 kilometres, with an ascent of around 275 metres. You'll need to allow between 2 and 2.5 hours for the walk: plenty of time to enjoy a lovely stroll through the forest, admire the view and read all the information panels!
